what we accept consignor
we accept clothing daily and home/gift items on tues & wed only
We do fill up quickly, so feel free to call before you come in just in case we are full. We price to sell and things sell fast so room becomes available fairly fast.
Please take your time to read the following criterion and sort your items accordingly before coming into the store, this will ensure a smooth and efficient experience when you bring your items into Squan Dry Goods.
It is also recommended that you take a moment to look around the store so that you have an understanding of our pricing policy. We Price To Sell.
All items must be seasonal (buy now wear now items)
If you bring in sweaters in July, they will probably be donated. If your items are very "high end" and "current" we may make seasonal exceptions.
WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO CALL PEOPLE WHO DROP OFF ITEMS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW OUR RULES AND GUIDELINES. THOSE ITEMS WILL BE DONATED, SO PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO REVIEW WHAT WE ACCEPT!!!!
Please note, our staff is trained and they must follow guidelines when taking in consignment items. Please understand that they are just doing their job and following our guidelines for what we can currently accept in our store. There may be days when we may be too full to accept your items, please come back another day and do not take it personally:)
New Consignors may bring in one small shopping bag with no more then 15 items in it to start, after that we ask you to bring in a reasonable amount of items at a time.
What WE ACCEPT (no exceptions)
-All items must be in EXCELLENT condition and VERY current in style.
-All items must not be more then 3 years old unless they are true vintage items.
-ALL items must be folded in a shopping bag with your FULL NAME and PHONE # clearly labeled on the bag. PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN CLOTHING ON HANGERS OR IN YOUR ARMS!!!!! We do not have extra bags to give to you.
-Items MUST be from a SMOKE FREE HOME! If your items smell like smoke they will be disposed of immediately, we can not call you to pick them up. (THIS GOES FOR MOTH BALLS TOO)
-Items must be washed or dry cleaned
-Items must NOT BE "PILLED"
-ALL Zippers must work and items must have ALL BUTTONS
-We do not accept Used BRAS, Pajamas, Robes or Sweat Pants (yuk)
-Swimwear must be Newer
-No "Fake" or "knock-off" Handbags or shoes!!!!!!
-Shoes must be in perfect condition, no scuffs or toe marks (no boxes unless they are very high end)
-Sizes 0-18 only accepted at this time.....and selected 1x tops
-Brands we will accept are Gap on the low end and Prada on the high end
-Brands we love are designer jeans (True Religion, Joes, etc...)....Free People...Juicy....Anthropologie brands....Boutique items....Lilly...etc..
-PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN Target/Kmart or Old Navy.
-No Basic tee shirts
-Junior items must be high end junior or surf lines
-NO KIDS ITEMS PLEASE>>>>bring them to THE RED BALLOON on Main Street, Manasquan
-PLEASE note that tops sell much faster and better then bottoms......
-We do not accept Mens, Childrens, Maternity or Bridal
-We do not accept CAREER WEAR because it hasn't sold well in the past.....
-HOME ITEMS must be kitchy and "antique like", please do not bring in cut glass vases, or bad wedding gifts :) We are looking for items that are "anthropologie like" that can enhance our new gift items that we purchase monthly. We only accept furniture with approval, please bring in a photo and dimensions and we will tell you if it will fit. No couches or upholstered items. Do not bring in large rugs or anything textile that is worn out or stained.

March will accept a few spring items winter is done!

June Summer items (tanks, shorts, bathing suits etc)

August only high end summer (no more shorts or bathing suits)
